Welcome to Alanson Riverfest 2010!

Located on the downtown streets of Alanson and on the lovely banks of the Crooked River, this year’s festival has something for everyone. Starting with our 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off there will great food, family entertainment including the Great Lakes Timber Show featuring log rolling, ax throwing, and chain saw carving. In addition, do not forget that you will be able to bounce your worries away with the Inflatable Bouncer Carnival. There are going to be other family events taking place throughout the weekend in various places in the Village too numerous to mention here.

Saturday morning the Riverstories Contest will take place at 10 am under the pavilion in the Village Park off West Street. Then be sure that you stroll the streets of Alanson and check out our local business that will be rolling out the Red Carpet for you, by doing so you can participate in our Local Treasure Hunt. Everyone who turns in receipts of $5.00 or more from the days of the festival (Friday thru Sunday) to our information tent or in the Entertainment tent will be entered in to a drawing for our Treasure Chest of Gift Certificates from our local businesses. This drawing will take place Sunday afternoon at 3 pm at the Information Tent at the head of River Street. Be sure to check out the great displays that will be located on River Street of Arts and Crafts, and the Antique Flea Market located on the beautiful Hillside Gardens, or the Motorcycle/ATV Swap Meet and Show in front of Spanky’s Power Sports.

Sunday Morning there will be the Community Church Service at 10 am in the Entertainment Tent. In the afternoon Kirby will be doing a family concert under the pavilion in the Village Park.

If you are looking for a place to relax stop by the Entertainment Tent and you can enjoy some great grilled food cooked by our own Chef Bob and listen to some toe tapping, feet stomping music from the great line of bands that our music committee has lined up for you.
