  • COUNTRY CLASSICS and THE BLITZS in the Big Tent from 3pm -12am. See Entertainment Tent
  • 12:00 – 5:00 Fishing at the Trout Pond behind Young’s Bait Shop. A $2.00 donation is requested for each caught fish. No child with empty pockets will be turned away. Sponsor: Michigan Wholesale Bait

Free Kids Fishing Clinic

5:30 pm at Sanctuary Island. Every participant receives a free goody bag of fishing related gear. (sign up by calling 231-203-4847)

 

Lighted Boat Parade

Bring your folding chair and watch the parade from Sanctuary Island on the banks of the Crooked River.  Parade starts at 9:30 pm. Click here for more info.

Alanson Area Church Community Service (In the Big Tent)

Starts with an 8:45 prayer time, followed by meeting at 9am for fellowship, with an awesome service from 9:15 to 10:15am. Motown Vocalist Charles Davis will sing gospel!

The Petoskey Steel Drum Band

Petoskey Steel Drum BandNoon to 1:00pm Playing in the Village Park Next to the Swing Bridge- Free Concert. Formed in 1997 under the direction of Barry Bennett, The Petoskey Steel Drum Band has performed throughout the state of Michigan and at other venues including; Epcot Center, Walt Disney World, Mardi Gras in New Orleans-7 times, the Caribbean Islands, and Hawaii. The group performs 30-40 concerts a year and over 20 during the summer and annually at the Alanson Riverfest!  Sponsored by WW Fairbairn and Sons

Crooked River Duck Race

Cheer on as hundreds of brightly colored plastic ducks race down the Crooked River trying to cross the finish line.  Ducks are available for “adoption” throughout the weekend – $1 each.  Prizes awarded to the top 3 ducks!   Sunday, 2:00 pm.  Race starts at the Swing Bridge.
